LOCATION: Cairo Pickleball Academy, on Victoria Square in Degla, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt

 

EVENTS: Skinny Singles, Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles

 

DUPR DIVISIONS: < 2.99 / 3.0 – 3.99 / 4.0 – 4.99 / 5.0+

Divisions may be combined with next closest divisions if less than 5 players/teams have registered.

 

FORMAT OF PLAY:

Group Stage will be played as round-robin, pool play, or double/triple elimination based on number of participants. All matches are score-on-serve, no rally. Group Stage matches will be one game to 11, win by two. Quarter-Finals will be one game to 15, win by two. Semi-Finals and Finals will be best of three sets to 11, win by two. Five match minimum guaranteed.

 

REFEREES:

Cairo Pickleball referees will be available to officiate games upon request. Referee responsibilities include calling kitchen foot faults, calling serve faults and assessing line-call challenges. All Finals matches will have a referee.

 

DUPR:

Match results will be logged on DUPR by Cairo Pickleball Academy.

6PM – Women’s Doubles Semis

7PM  – Men’s Singles Gold & Bronze Match

8PM – Women’s Doubles Gold & Bronze Match

 

Saturday, September 6

Morning Session:

8AM – Men’s Doubles

11AM – Mixed Doubles

Evening Session:

5PM – Men’s Doubles Semis

6PM – Mixed Doubles Semis

7PM – Men’s Doubles Gold & Bronze Match

8PM – Mixed Doubles Gold & Bronze Match

9PM – Awards Ceremony

 

Gaps in each day between events are scheduled to avoid peak heat times of the day. September is one of the hottest months in Egypt and player safety is our highest priority. Closer to the tournament, event start times may be adjusted if temperatures are more moderate than expected. Players will be given advanced notice, in the case of any changes.

Events may be moved to different days and times based on the number of registrations. These changes (if any) will be announced on August 28.

 

PRIZES:

Skinny Singles – Medals for 1st-3rd place, cash prize for 1st

Singles/Doubles/Mixed – Medals for 1st-3rd place across all divisions, cash prize* for 1st-3rd of highest division

*Cash prize conditional on participation of 16 players/teams

 

REGISTRATION FEE:

1500EGP Includes participation in one event, tournament shirt, water refills, on-site medical assistance, on-site physio, tournament goodies…

1000EGP Per extra event

ALL IN DEAL: 4000EGP To play all four events (Skinny Singles, Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles)

 

METHOD OF PAYMENT:

Egypt Residents: Cash, Instapay

Visitors: Paypal, Venmo, Bank Transfer

 

REFUND POLICY:

100% refund for withdrawals made by August 21

50% refund for withdrawals made between August 22 and August 28

0% refund for withdrawals made after August 28

 

Every player must register individually.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, August 28

Any registrations received after the deadline will incur extra 500EGP late fee.
