Believe it or not, our club began as four friends playing pickleball on  a court with taped lines in the heart of Maadi. More and more people kept asking to join until we had a group of eight to 12 people playing each night! Then the group got even bigger, to the point where we had no choice but to rent space on CLAY tennis courts. This was great for our numbers but made it difficult to advance past a certain level, as the bumps in the ground made the ball quite unpredictable! We made the most of this opportunity, however, and words cannot express how grateful we are to have been offered that space to introduce and grow the sport of pickleball in Cairo those first two years. When we finally had the opportunity to build our own hard-surface courts, just meters away from our clay site, it was a no-brainer, and our state-of-the-art facility officially opened in August of 2023! We’ve been rockin’ ever since; monthly tournaments, national leagues, community hangouts… and there’s only more to come!
